Happy New Year from the Dr Indra team. The start of the year is always a good time to reflect on how you’d like your New Year to look and to refresh your goals and we are here to support you as always. If you’re not sure where to start or if things are unclear in your mind, do contact Sarah and she’ll arrange for you to have a quick chat with one of our health coaches, Fiona or Ros, who’ll point you in the right direction.
We celebrated our 4th birthday in December and we couldn’t have started our 5th year on a more exciting note. Our big news for the New Year is that we are absolutely thrilled to be able to tell you that we are now registered with the Care Quality Commission (“CQC”). The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care in England and makes sure that health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, and high-quality care. This is a massive achievement for us and has taken months of hard work which will continue as we strive to ensure that you receive the best care we can possibly give you.
Our Growing Team
If you’ve been in to see us recently, you may have met some of our new team members: Fiona and Ros are our new health coaches, and Meeta is our new functional medicine GP. We are proud to be one of the few functional medicine practices in the UK offering multi-disciplinary team support to our patients, and the team will be expanding further in 2020 – watch this space!

Recap of 2019
Spreading the word
We made a start on spreading our healthy lifestyle message to the nation by taking stands at the Moments of Mass Mindfulness event at Kirkstall Abbey in May and at the Free From Show in Liverpool in November. You might’ve noticed that we also got a little more active on social media and even published a few videos of ourselves.
We continued to learn and update our skills and one of the highlights of the year was attending the Meeting of Minds Cardiology Conference in September in London where leading minds in the cardiology arena came together to discuss how to support patients with microvascular angina. We were thrilled to be invited to participate and what we heard really got us thinking #doctors who think outside the box.
Hopefully all of our Manchester patients have had a chance to come and see us in our new Manchester treatment room at Old Hall Clinic, Old Hall Rd, Gatley, Cheadle SK8 4BE. You can see Dr Indra and Ros there every Tuesday, and the rest of the team are available by video conference.
So, in summary, 2019 was great but we know that 2020 will be even better. We have lots of plans both for the practice and for getting out into the community to spread the word about lifestyle medicine and how to have a healthier, happier life. Why not follow us on social media to hear about what we’re up to or let us know if you’d like to receive our occasional newsletters.
Thank you to you all for your continuing support and we wish you a Happy New Year from all the team at Dr Indra FMGP.
